Youtube Lagging Issue

All of the YouTube users must have been through the YouTube lagging issue at least once on the browser. Well, in this article we will help you get rid of the error with some easy fixes because it is really frustrating.

Fixes to the problem

1. Clearing the browsing data

There might be some corrupted data or the history in the browser that might be causing the problem. To clear all of this, follow the steps below.

  • Press CtrlShift and Delete key on the keyboard.
  • Start deleting the items from the beginning of time option by ticking all the data.
  • Click on Clear browsing data.
  • The browsing data is now cleared.
  • After all of this, just restart the browser and check if YouTube is working.

2. Finding extension that might be the root cause

Few extensions on the browser may be slowing down the YouTube. One can have a look on browser to find if such extensions are being used. Just follow the steps below.

  • Select the menu icon from the top right of the browser. In the menu, Choose More tools and select Extensions.
  • From the Extensions list, uncheck all the boxes followed Enabled in each extension to disable the extension.
  • One can disable one extension at once and try launching YouTube. The method can help a user find out which extension is slowing down the YouTube.

3. Reinstalling the web browser

There might be some corruption issues with the browser due to which the YouTube video is not able to play the videos. One can reinstall the browser to check if it fixes the problem. Follow the steps below.

  • Open on the Start menu from the bottom left of the screen and start by typing control.
  • It will open the Control Panel, click on it.
  • After that, select Large icons from the View by
  • Select Programs and Features.
  • Right click the chrome and select Uninstall.
  • After uninstalling the browser, head to the official google chrome website to find its latest version.
  • Download the version and install it on the computer.
  • After doing all of this, start the browser and check if the new browser is able to hold YouTube videos properly.

4. Updating the drivers

There is a high possibility that the display drivers are outdated that might be causing the error or some wrong driver that has been installed in your system.

Method 1

For this, Install the correct driver from the official website of the manufacturer.

  • Fill in the correct details of the brand of driver present in the system.
  • Make sure it matches your computer architecture system.

Method 2

If you are a new user and still cannot find the relevant details about the display driver. This method will surely help you with that.

  • Down the Driver Easy software from here.
  • Run the software and click the Scan Now option.
  • It will scan for all the outdated or corrupted drivers and present a list of all.
  • Click Update All after buying the Pro version with a minimum charge.

Restart the computer and try installing the update to make sure the problem is fixed.
